Hair transplant cost in Delhi NCR, and why we do not price per graft

What the different techniques actually cost across Delhi NCR — and the one thing on a quotation that should make you walk away, whatever the number next to it says.

Hair transplant cost in Delhi NCR, and why we do not price per graft

Hair transplant pricing across Delhi NCR is all over the place, and the spread is wide enough that most people assume someone is overcharging. Sometimes that is true. More often the quotations are not comparable at all, because they are for different procedures done in very different places.

Where the cheapest prices come from

The most common procedure by a distance is FUE, and it is being performed rapidly across Delhi NCR — including in setups that are not medical facilities.

Small centres run FUE without an adequately qualified doctor present and without emergency protocols in place. That is where the lowest quotations come from, and it is worth being plain about what is missing: a transplant involves local anaesthetic, sedation in some cases, and hours of an invasive procedure. Reactions are uncommon, but when one happens you need a doctor and equipment in the room, not nearby. A price that low is low because that part has been left out.

What the techniques cost

Broad market ranges across Delhi NCR, not our price list:

TechniqueTypical range in Delhi NCRNotes
FUE₹40,000 to over ₹1,00,000The default procedure. The widest quality range of the three.
FUT₹1,20,000 to ₹1,50,000Performed by a board-certified plastic surgeon; the price tracks their expertise.
DHI and its variants₹1,00,000 to ₹2,00,000The newer techniques, including Sapphire and the pen-implanted methods.

A quotation at the bottom of the FUE range and one near the top are not the same operation carried out at different margins. They usually differ in who is holding the instrument and what exists in the room if something goes wrong.

The red flag: per-graft pricing

If a clinic quotes you a price per graft, treat it as a warning, whatever the number is.

A transplant sounds simple and is not. Decisions get made at the table that could not be made at the consultation — areas of thinning become visible under the lights that nobody could see across a desk. A per-graft quotation freezes those decisions before the surgeon has seen the scalp properly.

Say you are promised 1,500 to 2,000 grafts and you have paid for 1,500 to 2,000 grafts. That is what gets done. Not because more was impossible — because more was not billed.

What that quietly sets up

A doctor who can see, on the table, that this patient will need another 1,000 to 2,000 grafts is looking at a second procedure. They can also see that leaving an area at lower density means a result that reads as thin, which brings the same patient back for a round two.

None of that requires anyone to act in bad faith. It only requires a pricing model that pays for grafts rather than for a finished head of hair. The incentive does the rest.

It is not a patient-centric approach. Where 6,000, 7,000, 8,000 grafts can be extracted and there is scalp to place them in, a patient should not be made to come back and go through the whole thing again.

How we bill instead

We price by stage of loss, not by graft count.

Male pattern baldness — androgenic alopecia — is graded in stages. If you present at stage two, you are billed for stage two. We do not count the grafts against your bill, because the price was set by the stage before the procedure began. How many grafts that takes, and at what density, is then a clinical decision rather than a billing one.

That is the whole reason for the model. It removes the reason to stop early.

What to ask

  • Is this a medical facility, with a qualified doctor and emergency protocols? Ask to be shown, not told.
  • Who performs the procedure — the doctor you are speaking to, or a technician?
  • Is the price per graft or for the stage? If it is per graft, ask what happens when more is needed on the day.
  • What is my stage, and what does the donor area allow?

What is achievable depends on your donor area and your stage of loss, and it differs from person to person. That is what the consultation is for — and if a transplant is not the right answer for you, we will tell you that instead.
