Getting ready for summer: what is realistic in six weeks
Body contouring works on specific things and does nothing for others. Here is the honest version, including the timelines nobody puts in the advert.

The searches start in April: something that will change how you look by the time it gets hot. Some of it is achievable and some of it is not, and clinics are not always quick to draw the line.
What contouring is for
Non-surgical body contouring targets localised pockets of fat that have not responded to diet and training — a lower abdomen, flanks, under the chin. It is a shaping tool.
What it is not for
It is not weight loss. If the goal is a number on the scale, contouring is the wrong purchase and a medically supervised weight plan is the right one. Those are different services with different timelines.
The timeline nobody advertises
- Most contouring works by gradually clearing treated fat cells over weeks.
- Visible change typically begins around six to eight weeks.
- Full effect commonly takes twelve weeks, sometimes across more than one session.
So a course started in mid-May is not finished by June. If somebody tells you otherwise, ask them to put the timeline in writing.
What to ask before booking
- Is my concern localised fat, loose skin, or overall weight? They are treated differently.
- How many sessions, and what is the realistic gap between them?
- What does the result look like at six weeks, not at twelve?
