The go-to summer treatment, and what it is not
Delhi summer does three things to skin, and only one of them is sun damage. Knowing which one you are dealing with decides what is worth booking.

Every clinic runs a summer offer. Very few explain why summer changes what your skin needs, which is the part that decides whether a treatment is worth the money.
What Delhi summer actually does
- UV exposure drives pigmentation, and drives existing melasma darker.
- Heat and humidity increase oil production, which shows up as congestion and breakouts.
- Sweat and friction irritate skin that was fine in winter.
These are different problems. Booking a brightening course when your actual issue is heat congestion is how people spend money and see nothing.
Why timing matters for lasers
Any treatment that resurfaces the skin leaves it more sensitive to sun for a period afterwards. In peak Delhi summer that is a real constraint, not a formality — pigmentation that appears after an ill-timed laser can take months to settle, particularly in Indian skin.
This is why a clinic may tell you to wait, or to start with something gentler and do the resurfacing after the season. That advice costs the clinic a booking.
What is usually worth doing in summer
- Getting pigmentation properly diagnosed, so the plan is ready.
- Sun protection that you will actually use daily.
- Treating active acne, which does not need to wait.
- Hair reduction, which is unaffected by season and needs a run of sessions anyway.
The honest summary: summer is a good time to plan and a poor time for aggressive resurfacing. Any offer that ignores that is a sales calendar, not a treatment plan.
